" TK was informative, and took us to the most important and cultural sites in Nagoya. She made sure we saw cherry blossoms that most tourist would not know existed. Pleasant, spoke perfect English and absolute gem of a humans being. "

" Takako-san made our day trip to Nagoya an enjoyable one. Whether is was a general request like guiding us around Nagoya castle, taking us to the Dragon's baseball stadium team shop, or a very specific one to search for an item at a local drug store, she delivered. We learned so much about the city and the people who live there. Would definitely recommend her for anyone visiting Nagoya. "

" Once you book, the agency will send you questions on your preferences. Then we were assigned with a guide who helped me plan with what we want. For a Nagoya private tour, price is really good. Our guide was perfect. We were able to plan what we wanted to go/do and we had a lot of fun. Highly recommended! Take note: this is a walking tour. Transpo and food are your own expense. "

" We had a walking tour of Nagoya and dinner with Takako. She has traveled significantly, which makes her a fascinating person to chat with, let alone a knowledgeable tour guide. I particularly enjoyed her positive energy and cheerful demeanor. We had a lovely time with her! "

" Takako was very eager to guide us as she was already texting me a few days earlier. She was responsive to my queries and changes in places to go to. Upon meeting, Takako was very pleasant to talk to and she was always smiling while explaining the tourist places we visited. We had a great time with her. "

Truly a hidden gem with unbelievable prices. Takako truly knows where the best spots are for great deals and delicious food. I definitely recommend this tour and make sure you plan enough time in your day for this.

Experience local living
Browsing the store is like a museum. Great prices and friendly people. Temple visit worthwhile, and traditional Japanese lunch. Felt like a local!

A pleasant afternoon with souvenirs
This tour happened at the end of my first trip to Japan and Nagoya from the States. The week had been very busy and I was tired. The trip to the store and temple were very relaxing, however. The people were pleasant and friendly. The guide helped explore a massive collection of antiques and we found just the right treasures. The store owners went out of their way to welcome me. I am genuinely glad I didn’t stay in the hotel, being so tired, and booked this tour. I especially like my kimono, hand fan, and theater mask.

" It was nice to be able to have a pleasant and enjoyable time at a Japanese restaurant of the level I wanted. It was also nice to have the time to find nearby attractions while taking the subway and listen to detailed explanations while experiencing them. "

" Takako was an amazing guide—funny, approachable, and easy to talk to. She took the time to ask about our preferences and carefully planned the trip according to our wishes. We were interested in buying traditional Japanese clothing, and not only did she take us to a spot with beautiful, reasonably priced yukatas, but she also helped us choose and fit the pieces, explaining how they should be worn. Without her, such a smooth shopping experience wouldn't have been possible. As a local who speaks fluent English, she was able to explain the culture in depth and show us hidden gems. We even managed to fit in a visit to Nagoya Castle, making the tour really versatile. We truly enjoyed the experience. "

" Es war ein wunderschöner Abend mit Takako im Restaurant neben Fugu auch andere lokale Köstlichkeiten zu essen. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und Takako ist eine sehr sympathische und freundliche Person. Nach dem Abendessen sind wir noch in eine lokale Craft Brauerei und haben den Abend ausklingen lassen. Wir denken gerne an diesen schönen Abend zurück
It was a wonderful evening with Takako in the restaurant eating fugu as well as other local delicacies. The food was excellent and Takako is a very personable and friendly person. After dinner we went to a local craft brewery and ended the evening. We look back fondly on this beautiful evening "

Our first experience with a private guide - Takako was brilliant.
" We are well travelled and have always used organised tours or cruise ship shore excursions. Our first private tour experience with Takako in Nagoya was wonderful and we will now always use City Unscripted where ever possible. We were travelling with a 9 year old and Takako was accommodating, kind and patient. We enjoyed our time spent with her, especially our experience of having a picnic in a park full of Cherry Blossom trees and eating Japanese food that we selected together. She ensured that we had lovely photos of our Nagoya memories. "

" We had an amazing tour with Takako visiting Atsuta-Sama shrine in Nagoya! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the shrine and the local culture. She taught us some of the traditional practices and we enjoyed a tea break at the shrine. We also enjoyed conversations about the cultural differences between our home country and Japan. "

" The local trip with Takako was very useful to understand Nagoya. It was short time, but it was very comfortable and pleasant experience. In addition, Takako was good at English, so we had no problem communicating at all. She'll become a good friend to people who travel alone like me. "

" Our guide Takako was very pleasant and informative. We had fun with her.. She picked us up at our hotel and we commuted to Nagoya Castle and after we had lunch at Aeon Mall then and Noritake Garden and walked to Toyota commemorative museum and she brought us back to our hotel. We were able to experience commuting like the locals. We are a party of 3 girls and it was just like a girl bonding tour. Thank you Takako for a great tour. "

" Since I was able to choose what I wanted to see. My guide Takako kindly to me to the Noh theater museum, as there were no Kubuki performances during my stay. It was perfect replacement, great to learn about the History of Noh Japanese Theater. Then we were able to tour Nagoya Castle. Being i was also interested in Japanese stoneware, but no factories were open. She took me to a second hand store. It was wonderful rummaging through all the treasures, where I made many purchases at bargain prices. Takako put a lot of thought into helping me achieve my wish list and making a huge success of my tour time. I highly recommend her as a guide. She was very fun, personable and knowledgeable. "

Takako is very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible.
"Takako went out of her way to do things I enjoyed. It felt like we have much in common and I thoroughly enjoyed her company. She was able to answer all of my questions and show me the main places to see. She was well prepared and had worked hard before our meeting to find things to do based on my interests. "

Thank you so much for being patient with us during the beginning of our tour when we were still figuring out our situation! Our family truly enjoyed the tour with you, and are so grateful you helped us look for elevators and places to sit. We loved talking with you and you were such a sweet and thoughtful tour guide!

Takako - thanks so much for a very interesting and inspiring day. I think the rain added to a special atmosphere at the Shrine which I also liked. thanks for the additional info on Gyojas, they add a new dimension of Japan for me which I hope to learn more about. I saw the many small Shrines on the path which was very beautiful and I especially thought how you said that behind each shrine is emptiness with a link to nature…I learned a lot on our tour which was more like friends meeting that a tourist and a guide.
